Breast Cancer Awareness Sweatbands – October is Coming Soon
Aug 30th

For a period of seven years, between 1999 and 2006 breast cancer rates declined. Some attributed this, in part, to a Women’s Health Initiative research study which found that hormone replacement therapy (HRT) was a contributing factor to the development of breast cancer incidences in women. After the study was released (2002), fewer doctors prescribed HRT to their patients. Continued research will help health professionals make such discoveries as the above, which can further reduce incidences of breast cancer. Purchasing gear such as breast cancer awareness sweatbands is one very simple way that people can help fund research, bring attention to the cause and pay for mammograms for women who can’t afford them on their own.
Research such of the Women’s Health Initiative, requires monies. Financial contributions made to organizations which champion breast cancer awareness and research help to save lives. The aforementioned is an example of how. There are numerous ways for individuals to do their part. Volunteering at cancer related events, donating money and buying gear, are just a few ways. Breast cancer awareness sweatbands only require a small investment. The proceeds from such purchases go toward breast cancer research and pays for mammograms for the under or uninsured. If everyone does a little, then a lot can be done to help improve care and hopefully one day, find a cure.
Advances in treatment have been responsible for declining breast-cancer related deaths. This downward trend in began in 1990. Treatment advances were developed by scientists and researchers who received funding from the government and charitable organizations. More work, however, still needs to be done. Breast cancer trails only lung cancer in rates of deaths for women. Fewer women survive breast cancer then any other form of the disease other than lung cancer. Because this is true, continued work is needed.
Buying breast cancer awareness sweatbands is one very simple, yet effective way to contribute to the work and research being done on the behalf of breast cancer survivors, those who have succumbed and the family members and friends who love(d) them. These pink sweatbands are a signal to others that the wearer is doing their part to help eradicate the disease.
Pink armbands for football are becoming increasingly popular. Well known, NFL (National Football League) players are wearing them to lend their support to this very important cause. Football armbands for breast cancer give men an opportunity stand up for the women in their lives (and women in general) who may one day have to do battle with this potentially deadly disease. These women might be their own wives, mothers, sisters, grandmothers and aunts. Wearing breast cancer awareness sweatbands is one way for men, who are interested in the aforementioned, to do so. Women can obviously wear them as well.

Why a Headband Can Improve Your Game – Part 1
Jun 27th

You don’t have to wear a funny looking headband, like the one above, for it to have a positive impact on your game. You can go to your nearest sports authority and pick up a couple sports headbands and notice the difference right away.
Keep the sweat away from your eyes - As an athlete your going to sweat. There’s no way out of it. Your body overheats and needs to cool down, but that doesn’t mean that the natural process has to be gruesome! Cotton sweat headbands will work for you by absorbing that extra sweat in real time. As its dripping down from the hair on your forehead, and not smelling so great either, the cotton or terry cloth will catch it. In sports like tennis, basketball, and others this is a BIG deal because everything is happening so fast. One little blur of vision could have a daunting impact on the game.
Stay tuned for part 2!

Sweatbands for Baseball and Softball
May 11th
Baseball and softball are two sports that combine both athleticism and quick thinking to make for an entertaining watch (and play). Many softball and baseball players wear sweatbands while playing their sport. The reason using arm and wrist sweatbands is appealing to many players is because it both stabilizes their wrists and absorbs sweat, preventing errors during the ball game.

Cotton sweatbands can be an asset while playing baseball in hot weather. When the sun is beating down on your face you will begin to sweat. This sweat will give your skin a slippery, sometimes icky feeling that can cause unexpected errors. Stabilization and making sure your wrist stays in good condition are also important to ball players. Sports wristbands definitely help with this, as we see many players wearing both wrist and armbands during play.

Sweatbands For Construction
Jan 6th

When your out nearly all day at a construction site things can get pretty sweaty. All that sweat can drip down into your eyes, which can affect your vision and also burn. If you are working the high beams you can not afford to have blurred vision. Good news! There are sweatbands that can fit right under your hard hat. The main one that we know about is Sweat GUTR, which is a very thin sweat band that acts like a gutter for your head.

Just as the gutter on your house re-directs rain to a drain – the GUTR headband re-directs your sweat away from your eyes. Construction sweatbands are great for making your construction job less of a hassle by keeping that burning liquid out of your face!

Lose The Sweat – Halo Headbands
Sep 20th

When you are playing your favorite sports the last thing you want to worry about is sweat. I mean, it really gets annoying! Not to mention it burns when it gets in your eyes and can cause vision problems on the court.
So there are a few ways to control this nasty, gooey thing we call sweat.
The first is cotton sweat headbands and wristbands.
These work pretty good in most cases. The cotton will soak up the sweat before it can reach your eyes or hands. If you are sweating profusely than eventually these cotton bands will be overloaded.
The next option would be to use the Halo Headband.

The Halo Headband have technology within them that blocks sweat from rolling down into your eyes. This is especially important if your sport requires a high level of hand / eye coordination. These headbands use dryline fabric which evaporates sweat quickly so you stay dry and comfortable. It’s made in a double layer so it will not lose its shape or form. The newest type of headband from Halo is the Halo II Headband. Unlike the first one it is self-fitting and there is no tie.
Many athletes take advantage of the Halo II Headband, including:
- Biking
- Lacrosse
- Basketball
- Hiking
- Tennis
Those are just a few of the many sports or activities that the Halo Headband would compliment.
In extreme cases, the third option would be to pay a visit to your doctor. Also, there is no reason to be ashamed of sweating a lot. Everyone sweats it is a natural thing, some people do it more than others.
Sports Headbands – Stop that Sweat!
Mar 23rd

Sports headbands can improve your game dramatically, not to mention they are a very cool accessory. If you are a heavy sweater, than you should take sweat management seriously. In any physical activity, you will need your vision. When you start going hard at a sport, you begin to sweat, which in turn makes your vision slowly become blurry. A lot of errors are caused by this, regardless of your sport.
