Fundraisers these days can be quite tricky if one doesn’t know how to present them correctly. It should be noted that there are two kinds of fundraisers. The first is for a personal or group event that’s happening sometime in the near future. The second is fundraising for a solution to a problem(such as breast cancer, climate change, and so on).

One thing that is good to understand up front is the idea that people will not buy your sports wristbands because the team wants to go to Florida at the end of the year. Yes, initially a few parents will support this way of raising funds, but it will not appeal to the outside public. However, if one of your teammates has been diagnosed with a disease than people will give to the cause and be happy to receive a sports wristband. So lets go over some ideas.

Personal or Group Fundraising Wristbands

So your basketball team wants to go to Florida in 5 months because a huge event is happening down there that equally interests everyone on the team. The first thought you have is to buy some custom items to sell as a fund raiser. After buying 300 sports wristbands you might realize that people think they are awesome looking but they have no incentive to buy them. This is a typical problem in most group or personal fund raising acts.
So, what do you do? Well, you must give the people an incentive to buy. The easiest way to do this is normally in a high school environment. Two people from your basketball team should go around at the same time every few days and present the sports wristbands to classes. Tell them the class that buys the most will get a pizza party or free day as a reward. This drives competition between the classes, makes students happy because they have a cool sports wristband, and gives you the funds you need to get to Florida.

Sports Wristbands for a Solution

When you are raising funds for a solution to a problem that everybody cares about than it is much easier to sell sports wrist bands. Say for instance someone on the team needs an operation but they can’t afford it you will see some amazing things start to happen. We are tribal by nature, so when one of our own is hurt, it is phenomenal to see people come together around a common cause. Again having customized sports sweatbands is really a nice bonus to give to someone who has donated to a cause. It’s great because once a few people start wearing them you will notice people asking where they got them. All of a sudden everyone is donating and the operation can now be easily paid for. This is the magic of a successful fundraiser.
These ideas can be applied to any category, not just sports. I hope this helps you with your fund raising planning.

Sports these days are filled with all kinds of cool accessories. One of the great accessories is personalized wristbands. Sports wristbands can now be personalized with the logo and text of your choice. A few years ago this option wasn’t widely available, but thanks to technology and the growing demand for customizable products, we now have it! Personalized wrist bands can help you in two ways when it comes to sports. They can first be a great looking accessory and secondly they can really help you put a stop to all that nasty sweat that’s been dripping in your eyes.

Wristbands Personalized as an Accessory

There are many ideas you can go with when thinking of a design to put on your wristbands. Some of the more common are:

Your number

Your name

Teams Logo

Teams Name

Honor somebody important to you

That’s really just the tip of the ice burg when it comes to your design options for personalized wristbands. If you have a business you could also work out sponsoring/advertising deals. If you own a local business my recommendation to you would be to partner up with the local high school sports team. Do this by talking to the athletic director and presenting the idea of making customized wristbands with your organizations logo on them. Ask if you can work out a deal where they players wear them.

This idea can be very effective if presented right. You have to present it as a win/win in order for it to work out correctly. The athletic organizer can’t feel like he’s being used by you. You need to let him/her know that having the team wear wristbands will not only look great, but it will make the players feel well suited with better accessories.

Wrist Bands for Sweat Error Prevention

One of the more annoying problems you run into while playing sports is sweat. At first glance sweat isn’t much of a problem right? I mean, you just keep wiping it off and it’s all good. But, what if you didn’t have to keep wiping it off? The simplest errors in most sports are due to sweat. Anywhere from slip-ups while taking important shots to perfect passes flying through the hands of a receiver can all be caused because of excess sweat. The best way I know to stop the problem is sports personalized wrist bands and headbands.

Cotton wristbands absorb sweat before it has the chance to slide down to your hands. This minimizes your chances of making slip-ups in sports like basketball, tennis, baseball, and football. It’s one of those problems that is subliminal but at the same time can really affect your game.

Overall personalized wristbands are a great sporting accessory. If you play basketball, soccer, football, tennis, baseball, softball, and many other sports you can be benefited from them. Another great product for stopping sweat is headbands. Luckily headbands can also be customized by a wide variety of different retailers.

Sports wristbands and headbands are extremely useful for the sport of tennis. It’s a sport in which you are constantly running back and forth, making decisions in less than a second, and are swinging a racket at crazy speeds. When doing all this your going to begin to sweat, which is where sports wristbands can help you the most. In sports some errors are an easier fix than you may think. Using sports headbands, for one, can really increase your visibility and make it easier for you to make those split second decisions. Sports wrist bands serve the same purpose, making your hands dry so you don’t lose control of that racket!

Sports wristbands can be extremely beneficial if you play sports. Sports athletes in basketball, baseball, tennis and many other sports all take advantage of embroidered and plain wristbands. Wrist bands have been used for years but just recently have become more popular. The reason for this is mainly because they are widely available these days. Now you don’t have to be on an NBA team to get your logo customized. You can simply take a trip over to www.stbands.com and work right through an order of sports wristbands. Embroidered wristbands are of course the most popular for teams and organizations but plain sweat wristbands also serve the exact same purpose – preventing sweat. Plain wristbands are also cheaper to help your organization stay within budget. Custom wristbands are a great way to gain excited fans. How? Many of our clients sell these sports wristbands during the game and raise a lot of money for certain causes.

Cotton wristbands work great to absorb sweat and they also look kind of cool. But what if you want to make your own wristband? Where do you turn? There are a few companies that do custom wristbands and armbands. The best company by far is SerTop (http://www.stbands.com). The most important thing to look at when purchasing sports wristbands is the durability and the quality of the embroidery. Since athletic wristbands go through a lot of wear and tear it’s important that the fabric of the wristbands is a cotton mix. SerTop uses 80% cotton and 20% spandex, which is very high quality and also more comfortable than terry wristbands.
