Recently we told you about Guitar Center’s “Make Rock History” Contest. Well, they FINALLY chose a band to tour with the Crue: The Last Vegas. The Chicago based band also scored management with Tenth Street Entertainment and a record deal with Eleven Seven Music. Motley Crue will begin touring in February 2009.
Uh oh, its the Barenaked Ladies bathroom session on YouTube. This one is an oldie but, a goody from BNL, “One Week.”
Why is Pink’s Ex-husband Carey Hart in the “So What” music video? The song is all about their break up, must not have been too hostile. According to reports, Hart actually didn’t know the song was going to be about him while shooting the video; it was a spur of the moment thing. Apparently, he was shocked when he saw the final product.
Well, leave it to Rolling Stone to give us 500 top albums. I’ll give you a sneak peak at the top 5, it’s not a shocker who dominated the list…

“I didn’t stop writing since the last record,” Shinoda told Rolling Stone. “They’ve seen the stuff on my hard drives. I’ve got a lot of material, and I know the other guys have a good amount of stuff too. It’s going to be fun.” Linkin Park started recording their follow up album to Minutes to Midnight last week in Las Angeles. Chester wil be coming out with a solo album by this years end.

If you haven’t heard of the band The Bronx, definitely check them out. They are a hard hitting rock band hailing from Los Angeles, CA. When i first took a listen they reminded me a little of the Offspring but then they started to grow on me as a band i haven’t quite heard before. Their lyrics are very interesting as well, take a listen to the song “Past Lives,” you’ll see what I’m talking about.
Kid Rock, Reba McEntire, Brad Paisley and Kenny Chesney will be the big guns at this years Stagecoach music festival. Kid Rock is the only guy i know who can pull off a country / rock sound and still please both crowds. Festival events include a BBQ competition, mechanical bull rides, and more. I’ll leave you with some classic Kid Rock “Only God Knows Why”
