When word came out that Lil Wayne was coming out with a rock album everyone was a little shocked…and then it happened. The first single leaked – “Prom Queen”. Some of us were happy, others in disgust. At the end of the day it is what it is, Lil Wayne is simply broadening his horizons by doing this. Check out the official music video above.
Meaning of the song “Let It Rock” by Kevin Rudolf, Ft. Lil Wayne.

In the first verse of this song Kevin Rudolf is talking about someone who is very close to him that betrayed him very deeply. They clearly “Live a lie” in his eyes and he makes it clear that he wants nothing to do with this kind of lifestyle. The chorus of this song is basically saying, it doesn’t matter, and that he(Kevin) is still the best because he is living his own life and not someone else. All signs point to the second verse is actually about Kevin in his personal life / relationship with his father and career. The second pre-chorus is about people (like the person who betrayed him in verse one) who are standing around in line and letting their life be dictated to them, instead of taking what they want. “I got mine”. Lil Waynes parts are about himself and his ability to get any girl he wants… and buy them any thing they want, nothing too new there. The last lines of this song relate directly to the person Kevin is talking about in the first verse:
“I wish I could be As cool as you
And I wish I could say
The things you do
But I can’t and I won’t live a lie
No not this time”
