T.I. Last Interview with CNN before Jail

As we told you a few days ago, T.I. was sentenced to one year in jail. The above interview with CNN is likely to be his last inteview before he hits the can. During the short interview his leg monitor goes off and they tell him he needs to change his battery. My only question about this situation is – how will jail be for TI? Will he be treated like Henry Hill from GoodFella’s or will it be more like Edward Nortons charactar from American History X? Do celebrities get perks in Jail? I have no idea, someone please fill me in.

Axl Rose Interview

When talking to Billboard about a possible reunion between himself and Slash, Axl said the following:

In regards to Slash, I read a desperate fan’s message about, what if one of us were to die and looking back I had the possibility of a reunion now, blah blah blah. And my thoughts are, “Yeah, and while you’re at the show your baby accidentally kicks a candle and burns your house down, killing himself and the rest of your family.”

Give me a fucking break. What’s clear is that one of the two of us will die before a reunion and however sad, ugly or unfortunate anyone views it, it is how it is. Those decisions were made a long time ago and reiterated year after year by one man.

Q&A: James Hetfield on Rolling Stone

Recently Rolling Stone sat down with James Hetfield to talk about the new album and touring. Here is part of the interview:

You guys have been gigging all year. What new songs have been the most fun to play?
Over the summer we did “Cyanide” and “The Day That Never Comes.” On this tour, we’ll be rotating in four or five new ones every night. We want to give them a chance to become evergreens, like “Fade to Black” or “Seek and Destroy.” They didn’t become evergreens by being a good song on a record, but because we played it, and the crowd learned that they have their own parts to sing.

Where did you write the lyrics for Death Magnetic?
Mostly at home. There was one song called “Shine” — it’s not on the record but will come out sometime — that I wrote at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony in 2006, when we inducted Black Sabbath. I just got inspired, and I wrote it like poetry.

Most likely, Metallica will be inducted into the Hall of Fame next April. Who will be onstage with you?
Everyone that played on a record should be there. You’re considered for the Hall 25 years after your first recording, not after you formed.

That would omit Dave Mustaine.0
He wasn’t on a record. Jason Newsted should be up there — he was in the band for 14 years and played on quite a few records — and so should Robert Trujillo.

Will it be weird to be there with Jason?
There’s no reason for it to be weird. We don’t want to be part of the soap opera of the Hall of Fame. Everybody wants to see a train wreck, like with Blondie onstage arguing over crap [at the 2006 ceremony]. That really cheapens the moment.

Have you listened to the leaked tracks from Chinese Democracy?

Q&A With Fundamental Elements

Ladies and Gents, Boys and Girls of all ages get ready to listen and read about one of the most talented pop groups in America: Fundamental Elements. If you haven’t heard of them yet that check them out now!

Check out the Q&A Below and don’t forget to subscribe to SerTop for the latest updates on new music.

Q: Tell us a little bit about the making of your new album. How   has the music evolved or changed since your previous music?

A: All of our previous projects were self-produced and self-  engineered, so right out of the box we new that working with   producer Stephen Leiweke was going to push us to a new level.  His   creativity and musical intuition really breathed new life   into these songs, taking them to a new sonic dimension. Beyond that, we really pushed ourselves with the   songwriting process.  We were far more delibarate with the parts,  lyrics, and concepts.  We really wanted to do more than just make   good music on this record, we wanted to say something.  So in that   way, our approach was entirely different.  This is also our first   record as a five piece band, the addition of keys as the most   obvious difference, and it has opened some new avenues for us   stylistically.  FE has been through a lot over the past two years   individually and collectively, so this album really was an   accomplishment and a statement for us on many levels.

Q: What is the song “Cryin Shame” about?

A: Cryin’ Shame is about living in the tension.  We daily find   ourselves struggling between the way things could/should be, and   the reality of the messed up world we see around us.  The song   states, “It’s the cycle we’re living in; keep on trying, keep on   giving in…”.  On one hand, we know that things could be better,   so we’re inspired to pray and love and work towards that end.  On   the other hand, we know that this planet is full of broken people   who make mistakes every day, and we know that it will never be   perfect until the end of the world as we know it. That is the   cycle.  That is the tension.  So I’m left with the choice to either   “shake my head and keep on saying it’s a cryin’ shame,” or to take   action, even if I get nowhere.  The song presents us with the   contrast of these two opposing ideas and then begs the question,   “what are we gonna do about it?”

Q: What do you all do when your not jammin? (hobbies, activities)

Get the full story with “Seven Story Fall”

sevenstoryfall1.jpg

We recently had the chance to chat with the guys from “Seven Story Fall” might I say this band has some serious talent. The lyrics they come up with are absolute amazing their completely original. You wont find songs like this anywhere, unless they came from “Seven Story Fall” This band has been though some tough times but no matter what happens they keep moving forward. Make sure to check them out at on myspace.

The name “Seven Story Fall” is a great name how’d you come up with it?
*umm when we first started it was just Hunter and Jacob and then we found a bassist which came up with the name I don’t know how but we usually just say its from when Hunter was on vacation and a kid fell from the 7th story it sounds more interesting haha.

So many kick ass shows to look forward to, which one are you most excited for and why?

*we are looking forward to the chiodos/from first to last show, were so excited to play in front of a huge crowd like what they bring in, its going to be a lot of fun and should help our career a lot

You seem to have gone threw so many members in a short time, Hunter what’s it like hanging in there through all the tough times?
*yes we’ve had over 5 different guitar players 6 drummers and 4 bassist and when we first started we had another singer for like a week haha, its really hard there’s been times I wanted to quit because it was really taking a toll on me, I was getting upset and frustrated and id let it out on people close to me on accident but I thought I still have so much time and I know I can do it so I stuck with it, but it is the hardest thing I’ve done so far
