Bruce Springsteen touring the US starting in April

A couple months after they headline Super Bowl XLIII on Feb. 1st, Springsteen and the E street band will be kicking off their North American tour. The tour begins April 1st in San Jose, see the dates below. Bruce Springsteen has been very political the last few years, giving him even more reach to his fans. Springsteen performed live at Barack Obama ‘s Inaugural celebration.

Fall Out Boy delays release of “Folie a Deux”…Why?

Does Fall Out Boy think the release day of their new record, which happens to be November 4th (otherwise known as election day), will actually effect the presidential election? Will millions of kids go out and buy the new album instead of voting? Well, who knows the answers to those questions, but the real news here is that Fall Out Boy announced today that it is delaying its new album 6 weeks, until December 16th.
Beastie Boys to plan “Get Out and Vote”

We’ve seen musicians make last second political efforts time and time again. This time around the Beastie Boys, who have endorsed Barack Obama for president, have planned a mini tour entitled “Get Out and Vote.” The tour consists of known artists Sheryl Crow, Norah Jones, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Tenacious D, David Crosby, and Gram Nash. It kicks off October 28th.
Fall Out Boy’s New Album to be Political

The new Fall Out Boy album “Folie A Deux” comes out on November 4th, which happens to be election day. Shocker right? Given the title of this post. Patrick Stump, Vocals/Guitar, told Billboard that “it’s a political record only insofar as anyone making music and paying attention to what’s happening will make a record tinged with politics. You can’t ignore it.” While Fall Out Boy remain neutral on their Rock The Vote performances, Stump shared his feeling about Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama as “the most excited I’ve been about a candidate.”
Grateful Dead will play for Barack Obama
