Oasis gets the boot from China
Mar 3rd

Interesting word from the east says that Oasis is banned from playing China this April because of their political stand on Tibet. The order has left the band and their management very confused because all the details had been worked out. This was not some sort of political activism show, it was going to be a normal show.
“Oasis are extremely disappointed that they are now being prevented from undertaking their planned tour of mainland China and hope that the powers that be within China will reconsider their decision and allow the band to perform to their Chinese fans at some stage in the future,” the statement reads.
It was going to be the bands first show ever in China. Can we hope for a Chinese Democracy in the future?

Jack Johnson, Coldplay to perform at Australia Bushfire Benefit
Feb 24th

On March 14th the Bushfire Benefit will be poppin and the Aussies are sure to get a good show. The line up is Coldplay, Kings of Leon, Jack Johnson and Midnight Oil. The show is scheduled to take place in Sydney and Melbourne , Australia. This means the concert will most likely be split down the middle as far as performances go. This will be one hell of a live concert and a great way to raise some money.
All the profits from the Melbourne show will be donated to the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal, while money raised from the Sydney concert will be split 50-50 to benefit the bushfire appeal and the Premier’s Disaster Relief Fund Appeal in Queensland, in support of victims of the Queensland floods. – Billboard.

Custom Band Merch – Sweatbands
Feb 15th
Looking for a cool product to help your band make money? Look no further, SerTop is making sweatbands for bands around the world to help them promote their music to the max. The difference between a sweatband and t shirt when it comes to custom band merch is HUGE. Let me explain myself…
Sweatbands vs t shirts
Alright, your at your show promoting your stuff at your merch table, you have your t shirts priced at $15-$20 and your sweatbands priced at $10. When someone buys your t shirt they are not going to put it on right there, but when someone buys your sweatband they are. This is a huge difference, because now that person is your bands walking model, and everyone is buying sweatbands at the show! Also, the cost is a lot cheaper when it comes to buying sweatbands and the profit is a lot more. Take it from a company who has sold a lot of sweatbands at warped tour, we know our stuff.
Sweatbands to promote your band
So yeah, you can sell your sweatbands, but you can also give them out with your website or myspace on them. This is how some of our biggest clients become well known in their areas. They’ll play a huge show and throw out 100 sweatbands with a cool logo and a website on the back. Not only does the person who received the sweatbands wear it out, they also have direct access to your myspace, which is HUGE! Now they can view your photos, videos, and your up coming shows (which they’ll bring there friends to!).
Selling sweatbands with your bands logo

Well, when you order 100 sweatbands you are making 60% profit if you sell them for $10 (which is recommended ) That means $6 off every wrist sweatband, aka $600 total profit. When you buy 1000 you will be making an 80% profit which will get you a total of $8,000.
So, how much are you paying for t shirts again? And, how much are you selling them for?
The best part about sweatbands
The best part is you don’t have to worry about how the sweatband will fit! One size fits all, no more awkward fitting t shirts. Just slip that baby on and boom your good to go.
SerTop is a professional company. We specialize in sweatbands for your wrist, arm, and head. Before you even order the product you will know exactly how it will look, unlike other company’s which have you in cold sweats until the product arrives. SerTop sweatbands is the best choice when it comes to custom band merch.

Bruce Springsteen fires up for the Super Bowl
Jan 30th

It’s that time of year again, time for nostalgia at halftime. Every year lately since the Janet Jackson boob-show we get to see historic musicians. I know that it’s for the family but can’t we get a good rock band up there like Linkin Park or Metallica. Lately it’s been Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Prince, and most recently Tom Petty and the Heart Breakers. They are all great musicians but come on! Get me some rock in this stadium! Opinions?
