Metallica To Be Two-Bassist Band At Hall Of Fame

newsted-trujillo-metallica

Metallica will be performing at their Hall of Fame induction ceremony on April 4th, which is sure to be an amazing show. The only twist is they will be performing with two bassist: Jason Newsted and Robert Trujillo. It has been known about a week now that Newsted was going to be performing with the band and Trujillo was going to take the sidelines. A spokesman for the group’s label, Warner Bros. Records, clarified that “Jason and Robert will both be playing Metallica’s induction songs.” My guess is Newsted realised that he doesn’t know any of the new songs while Trujillo is near perfect coming off a tour. Will they both be on stage together or separately?  I say Newsted for the old and Trujillo for the new, it’s obvious! Tune into Fuse this Saturday to see how this plays out with the bands performance.

T.I. Last Interview with CNN before Jail

As we told you a few days ago, T.I. was sentenced to one year in jail. The above interview with CNN is likely to be his last inteview before he hits the can. During the short interview his leg monitor goes off and they tell him he needs to change his battery. My only question about this situation is – how will jail be for TI? Will he be treated like Henry Hill from GoodFella’s or will it be more like Edward Nortons charactar from American History X? Do celebrities get perks in Jail? I have no idea, someone please fill me in.

T.I. Gets One Year in Jail

t-i-jail

T.I. is a known drug dealer and he always has 50’s, or so the song goes (Top Back – TI). On Friday the rapper, whose real name is Clifford Harris, was sentenced to one year in jail for federal weapons charges. He was looking at 10 years to begin with, so it really could have been a lot worse. He has already completed over 1,000 hours of community service, talking to kids about how guns are bad and trying to help them avoid the same mistakes he made. For those of you who are wondering that is 41 days of community service all together, which is unheard of for a full time rapper.

“Today I would like to say thank you to some, and apologize to all,” the rapper told U.S. District Judge Charles Pannell Jr. at the 1 and 1/2 hour session.

Former United Nations Ambassador Andrew Young told the judge – “He’s been able to do the work I’ve been trying to accomplish for so long in stopping violence in this country”.

T.I. said fear was one of the reasons that he tried to buy the illegal guns, as his best friend Philant Johnson was killed at a post party in 2006.
