Two Turntables and a Microphone – Eminem on Run DMC

‘Two turntables and a microphone, that’s all it took to change the world’

Eminem was clearly humbled to be able to introduce Run DMC into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. His speech has a poetic twist to it, after every paragraph, he would say “Two Turntables and a Microphone”. “They made me realize that you can write your own rules. None of us would be here without them,” Eminem said. Watch the video below for the full speech.

Metallica To Be Two-Bassist Band At Hall Of Fame

newsted-trujillo-metallica

Metallica will be performing at their Hall of Fame induction ceremony on April 4th, which is sure to be an amazing show. The only twist is they will be performing with two bassist: Jason Newsted and Robert Trujillo. It has been known about a week now that Newsted was going to be performing with the band and Trujillo was going to take the sidelines. A spokesman for the group’s label, Warner Bros. Records, clarified that “Jason and Robert will both be playing Metallica’s induction songs.” My guess is Newsted realised that he doesn’t know any of the new songs while Trujillo is near perfect coming off a tour. Will they both be on stage together or separately?  I say Newsted for the old and Trujillo for the new, it’s obvious! Tune into Fuse this Saturday to see how this plays out with the bands performance.
