T.I. Gets One Year in Jail

T.I. is a known drug dealer and he always has 50′s, or so the song goes (Top Back – TI). On Friday the rapper, whose real name is Clifford Harris, was sentenced to one year in jail for federal weapons charges. He was looking at 10 years to begin with, so it really could have been a lot worse. He has already completed over 1,000 hours of community service, talking to kids about how guns are bad and trying to help them avoid the same mistakes he made. For those of you who are wondering that is 41 days of community service all together, which is unheard of for a full time rapper.
“Today I would like to say thank you to some, and apologize to all,” the rapper told U.S. District Judge Charles Pannell Jr. at the 1 and 1/2 hour session.
Former United Nations Ambassador Andrew Young told the judge – “He’s been able to do the work I’ve been trying to accomplish for so long in stopping violence in this country”.
T.I. said fear was one of the reasons that he tried to buy the illegal guns, as his best friend Philant Johnson was killed at a post party in 2006.

Eminem – “We Made You” video set in Las Vegas

Over the weekend 50 cent, Eminem, and Dr. Dre were spotted at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas shooting a video. Interscope Records has confirmed that it is for Eminem’s new unheard single: We Made You.

Awaiting the new 311 album

I have to admit, it’s a little tough for me to be patient when waiting for the new 311 album. Anyone else out there feel the same way? If you can fight your way through the video below, maybe you’ll hear a new song from there upcoming album “Uplifter”at the end…maybe! It’s called “Hey You” and it will be the first single off the new record, which is scheduled to be release on June 2nd. Enjoy.

This will be New Found Glory’s 8th Major release, which is definitely a landmark for this band because most bands in the same Genre break up after their second or third album. So, which song is going to be the first single?
Oasis gets the boot from China

Interesting word from the east says that Oasis is banned from playing China this April because of their political stand on Tibet. The order has left the band and their management very confused because all the details had been worked out. This was not some sort of political activism show, it was going to be a normal show.
“Oasis are extremely disappointed that they are now being prevented from undertaking their planned tour of mainland China and hope that the powers that be within China will reconsider their decision and allow the band to perform to their Chinese fans at some stage in the future,” the statement reads.
It was going to be the bands first show ever in China. Can we hope for a Chinese Democracy in the future?
