This song primarily deals with the change that T.I. has gone through over the past few years. From living the rough life to fortune and fame, T.I. has grown a lot as an artist and a human being-“The old me is dead and gone”.  At the beginning of his music video you’ll see a bible verse proving this:

When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put childish things away. – 1 Corinthians 13:11

In the  first verse T.I.  reflects on how his old days were. He uses it to express how people make stupid decisions all for nothing and how this is childish behavior. He makes a pledge at the end of the first verse that he will no longer have anything to do with this lifestyle.  In verse two he brings up his best friend Philant Johnson, who was killed in 2006 in a highway gun fight after T.I’s show. This is a tough topic for him, and he still blames himself for Philants death.

The hook is a medaphor about him looking in all directions and those old people he used to hang with not being there for him anymore.

T.I. was recently sentenced to a year in jail.
