Jonus Brother influenced by Blink 182

You know i see a commonality already, they both are 3-piece bands. One band got big through Disney and the other worked their ass off and ran naked through the streets. “Musically, I was definitely into blink,” Kevin, the oldest Jonas brother at 21, said last week from Hollywood. “Travis Barker is one of the greatest drummers ever, and all the guys in blink are really good songwriters. I grew up listening to their music, and they definitely played a part in the (sound of) early Jonas Brothers.”

U2, Coldplay, Killers launch (RED) Wire

Bono is a big time charity giver, who not only works with musicians to help fight HIV/AIDS, but also worked with big names like Bill Gates and Michael Dell. This time he and U2 are working with a whole host of musicians including Coldplay, the Killers, the Dixie Chicks, John Legend, R.E.M. and Bob Dylan. RED Wire is a new digital music magazine that will be distributed for $5 every Wednesday. It will include exclusive tracks from the listed musicians and also ways you can donate and help HIV/AIDS around the world.

Beatles tracks won’t be on iTunes anytime soon…

According to Billboard and Paul McCartney, negotiations to get the Beatles records onto iTunes have been stalled. “We are very for it, we’ve been pushing it. But there are a couple of sticking points, I understand,” said McCartney. It looks like Steve Jobs may have spoke too soon.

Classic Video: Nirvana’s Failed 1992 VMA Bass Toss

This video is of Nirvana Bassist Krist Novoselic, doing a bass toss on live TV after his bass amp supposedly went out. Unfortunately for Novoselic, the Bass hits him in the head and he runs off stage. All this in front of thousands of viewers of the MTV 1992 Video Music Awards. Watch the video, this is truly a classic moment.

Soft rock / Country chic singer Taylor Swift has hit number one on the country charts. At only 18, Swifts new album “Fearless” has made an impression on many country fans. On her MySpace she says that she is best friends with a guitar and she writes songs about everything that happens to her. She is an inspiration to young musicians everywhere.


McCartney, Guns N’ Roses albums to launch on MySpace

Tomorrow is a big day, maybe not for everyone, but if your a Guns N’ Roses or Paul McCartney fan than it’s your day. Both artist will release their albums early on MySpace, allowing millions of people to listen to them for free.
