Learning to play music by ear can be very rewarding. While everyone else is looking up tabs, scrambling for the right version, you can just listen and know what is going on. Head over to Good Ear to see what playing by ear is all about. Basically there are 8 different options:
You don’t exactly have to start at any particular stage, but the main purpose is to choose the right options when a small sound is played. It takes practice to get good by ear, start now!

If you haven’t heard of Lipsyncher.com yet, be prepared to laugh or maybe even cry. There you will find videos of people around the web lip singing different songs. This is how they define themselves:

Today it seems like everyone and their mother is starting a band. Cool right? Well it can be when you find some you like but you have to decipher through a lot of junk to get there. MTV keeps close tabs on these new up rising stars. They look through “singer-songwriters, garage bands, rookie rappers, parlor poppers and wannabe stars” to find the ones that are worth listening too. We know for sure that musicians Sheryl Crow, Will.i.am, Jennifer Hudson, Michael McDonald, and Stevie Wonder will be there jamming out but word around the street says there’s going to be a surprise after Barack Obama’s speech at 10:00 (Eastern Time). Will we see the boss? Maybe he’ll bring Bon Jovi with him? No one knows for sure, we can only guess, everything is all hear/say until tonight. stay tuned people!
